Lagom Home Store is an online furniture boutique based in Yogyakarta, offering teak wood furniture to customers across Indonesia. We work closely with our suppliers to create practical furniture and adapt designs to our customers’ needs. About the Role

We are looking for a Furniture Designer to support custom furniture requests by preparing customer drawings, 3D visuals, and detailed technical plans for suppliers. You will consider each product’s construction, functionality, proportions, and aesthetics, working closely with our design, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that designs meet customer needs and can be produced. This role suits someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple design requests using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Enscape.

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Oriented Drawing

• Develop and adapt furniture designs based on customer requests, considering functionality, proportions, construction, and aesthetics.
• Prepare drawings and 3D models using SketchUp and AutoCAD.
• Create clear rendered images using Enscape to help customers understand and review their designs.
• Revise drawings based on customer feedback and confirm that the final design reflects the agreed specifications.
• Prepare assembly instructions when needed.

Supplier-Oriented Drawing

• Prepare detailed technical drawings for furniture production using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and CorelDRAW.
• Clearly specify dimensions, materials, construction details, and finishes so suppliers can follow the designs accurately.
• Review and revise drawings to improve clarity, accuracy, and practicality for production.

Team Communication and Coordination

• Work with the Customer Service team to clarify customer requests and communicate design revisions.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team and suppliers to resolve technical questions and ensure designs are practical and suitable for production.
• Coordinate priorities and deadlines with the other designers and keep drawing files organised and up to date.

Requirements

• ⁠ Design Knowledge – Understanding of fundamental furniture design principles, including ergonomics, construction, aesthetics, and materials.
• ⁠ Design Software Skills – Proficient in using SketchUp, Enscape, AutoCAD, and CorelDRAW.
• ⁠ Cross-Functional Communication – Able to communicate effectively with various internal teams throughout the design process.
