Furniture Upholsterer / Foam Applicator

A rapidly growing furniture manufacturing company is looking for a skilled and motivated Furniture Upholsterer / Foam Applicator to join our team.

We manufacture upholstered furniture, including sofas, beds, armchairs, and other custom-made products. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in their craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and is committed to delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in furniture upholstery.
• Experience upholstering sofas, beds, armchairs, chairs, and other furniture pieces.
• Experience working with a variety of upholstery materials, including suede, velvet, textured fabrics, faux leather, and genuine leather.
• Experience with button tufting and deep-button upholstery.
• Knowledge of furniture construction, frame assembly, and upholstery techniques.
• Ability to work with foam padding, fabrics, leather, and other upholstery materials.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and pneumatic equipment, including staple guns.
• Ability to work accurately, follow specifications, and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Physical ability to handle furniture components and materials as required.
• Reliability, responsibility, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Upholstering and reupholstering furniture according to technical specifications, photographs, and customer requirements.
• Upholstering sofas, beds, armchairs, chairs, and other furniture products.
• Applying foam padding and preparing furniture frames for upholstery.
• Working with different fabrics, faux leather, and genuine leather.
• Performing button tufting and other decorative upholstery techniques.
• Assembling furniture components and ensuring proper fit, alignment, and finish.
• Working with wooden frames, hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
• Manufacturing custom-made furniture, including bespoke pieces based on individual designs.
• Checking the availability and quality of materials before starting production.
• Ensuring the quality, durability, and professional finish of completed products.
• Meeting production deadlines and maintaining productivity standards.
• Keeping the workplace clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
