OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

£15.50 per hour | Equivalent to £32,240 per annum based on 40 hours per week

Archway Travel Ltd – Fleetwood, Lancashire

Due to a restructure of our operational team, Archway Travel Ltd is looking to recruit 2 Operations Supervisors to help oversee the day-to-day running of our busy bus and coach operation.

This is a hands-on role supporting our drivers and ensuring our services operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

WORKING PATTERN

The two supervisors will work opposite shifts on a simple alternating weekly pattern:

EARLY WEEK
Monday–Friday
05:00 – 13:30

LATE WEEK
Monday–Friday
13:30 – 22:30

You will work a full week of earlies followed by a full week of lates, providing a predictable repeating shift pattern.

Saturdays:
05:00 – 17:00 on a shared rota with the other Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Sundays:
No regular supervisory requirement.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting drivers throughout the operation
• Shuttling Drivers to and from Duties.
• Ensuring services are correctly staffed and depart on time
• Managing driver attendance and responding to absences
• Responding to delays, breakdowns and operational disruption
• Arranging driver and vehicle changes when necessary
• Monitoring standards of safety and customer service
• Communicating with drivers, customers and management
• Completing shift handovers and operational records
• Dealing confidently with issues as they arise

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and the other Operations Supervisor to maintain effective supervisory coverage across the business.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Confident supervising and supporting a team of drivers
• Calm and decisive when dealing with operational problems
• A strong communicator
• Computer literate
• Safety and customer focused
• Flexible when operational circumstances require it

Previous experience within bus, coach, passenger transport, logistics or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.

A PCV licence is essential
