We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Ice Crew team at CURE Insurance Arena.

This is a hands-on, game day position responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and game-ready playing surface before, during, and after Ironhawks games. Ice Crew members will assist with snow removal, moving hockey nets, on-ice maintenance, rink setup, and other ice operations as needed.

Candidates must be proficient skaters. The ability to skate forward, backward, turn quickly, and stop is crucial. Candidates must be able to provide their own skates. Responsibilities

  • Skate on the ice during game stoppages to perform snow and ice removal using snow shovels, scrapers, buckets, and other ice maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain ECHL ice requirements and maintenance during gameplay.
  • Support in-game promotions and fan engagement activities (e.g. Teddy Bear Toss, Chuck-A-Puck, etc.).
  • Represent the Ironhawks and CURE Insurance Arena in a professional manner at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • The ability to comfortably skate during live game situations and work around players, officials, equipment, and other personnel. Previous hockey or skating experience is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to safely lift, push, pull, and maneuver nets and other rink equipment.
  • Skates will NOT be provided – all candidates must bring and use their own skates.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortability working in cold environments for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a game operations team.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
  • The ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This is an in-person, game day position based in Trenton, New Jersey. This is a VOLUNTEER position.
