Game Localization Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Game Localization Manager to oversee the localization of casual and puzzle mobile games for international markets.

In this role, you will manage the localization process across multiple languages and regions, ensuring that in-game text, user interfaces, promotional content and player communications are culturally appropriate and consistent with the game's style. You will work closely with game development, product, marketing, publishing and customer support teams to deliver high-quality localized experiences for a global player base.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mobile games, localization workflows and international audiences, with excellent project coordination and language quality management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end localization projects for casual and puzzle mobile games across multiple languages and markets.
• Coordinate the translation and cultural adaptation of in-game text, tutorials, menus, notifications, event descriptions and other player-facing content.
• Localize app store descriptions, promotional materials, advertising creatives and campaign content in collaboration with marketing teams.
• Develop and maintain localization guidelines, glossaries, style guides and terminology databases for each supported language.
• Work with translators, language vendors, proofreaders and internal reviewers to ensure translation accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with game designers, developers and product managers to identify localization requirements during the product development cycle.
• Review localized content for linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, readability and consistency with the game's tone.
• Coordinate linguistic quality assurance (LQA), including in-game text checks, layout reviews and language-related bug reporting.
• Track localization schedules, project milestones, vendor deliverables and quality standards.
• Manage localization resources and budgets while ensuring projects meet release deadlines.
• Support the localization of seasonal events, limited-time activities, new features and regular game updates.
• Work with user acquisition and digital marketing teams to adapt advertising messages for different markets and audiences.
• Review player feedback, customer support trends and localization-related issues to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use localization quality metrics, player feedback and relevant performance data to evaluate localized content.
• Help establish efficient localization workflows and improve collaboration across regional and international teams.
• Ensure localized content follows applicable platform requirements, cultural considerations and relevant content guidelines.
• Coordinate with customer support teams to maintain consistent terminology and messaging across player communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, Marketing, Game Design or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in game localization, software localization, translation project management or a related field.
• Experience coordinating multilingual localization projects across multiple markets.
• Strong understanding of localization workflows, terminology management and linguistic quality assurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with casual mobile games, puzzle games or free-to-play mobile game products.
• Understanding of cultural adaptation and language requirements across international markets.
• Experience working with translation management systems, localization platforms or computer-assisted translation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify linguistic, contextual and cultural issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, development, marketing and customer support teams.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with external localization vendors is an advantage.
• Additional language proficiency beyond English is an advantage, depending on the markets supported.

Working Arrangement

• Full-time position based in Singapore.

• Work may involve supporting localization releases across different time zones.
• Project schedules may vary according to game updates, campaign launches and release timelines.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $8,500.00 per month
