Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive test cases across various platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux to validate game functionality and performance.
• Conduct functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify issues early in the development cycle.
• Utilize defect tracking tools such as JIRA or HP ALM to document bugs clearly and follow through on their resolution.
• Perform automation testing using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium to streamline repetitive testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Analyze test results using data analysis skills and SQL queries on databases like MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server to pinpoint root causes of issues.
• Collaborate with developers using version control systems such as Git or SVN within Agile or Waterfall SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) frameworks.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps to facilitate rapid release cycles.
• Conduct performance testing with LoadRunner or similar tools to ensure game stability under various user loads.
• Validate APIs and web services including RESTful APIs and SOAP interfaces to confirm smooth integration within game environments.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions and contribute to test plan design based on detailed analysis of business requirements and technical specifications.

Experience

• Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments, specifically in mobile applications or gaming industries.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash (Unix shell), or C#.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as HP ALM, TestNG, JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, LoadRunner, and Appium.
• Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, SQL Server, DB2, or MongoDB for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience performing functional testing, system testing, performance testing, load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ability to analyze complex issues through debugging techniques and root cause analysis methods.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting test cases clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Technical support skills related to software troubleshooting and defect resolution are highly desirable.
