ABOUT THE VENUE

Our Rotterdam location is a modern esports arena with around 60 high-performance PCs, 4 professional racing simulators, and 5 PlayStation setups.

The space is designed for both social and competitive gaming, welcoming approximately 60 guests per day.

Guests come to play games such as Valorant, Counter-Strike, EA Sports FC and many others, while enjoying simple snacks and drinks.

It’s all about gaming, energy and community.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is an active hospitality and customer-service role inside a gaming environment.

During business hours, your main responsibility is making sure our guests are served quickly, the venue runs smoothly, and everyone has a great experience.

You will:

• Serve and assist many guests during busy periods
• Constantly move around the venue and actively check on players
• Handle food, drinks, payments, bookings and customer questions
• Keep the venue clean, organised and ready for guests
• Create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere
• Actively talk to players and make them feel welcome
• Connect players with each other and help them find teammates
• Solve problems quickly while handling multiple tasks at the same time
• Help with events and tournaments

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Previous HoReCa / hospitality experience is required.

You should already have experience working in a restaurant, café, bar, hotel or another busy customer-facing environment where you had to serve multiple customers at the same time.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working under pressure, moving quickly and staying friendly and attentive even when the venue gets busy.

The most important qualities are:

• Hospitality experience — you know how to serve many customers efficiently
• Extrovert energy — you enjoy being around people and proactively talking to guests
• Charisma — people naturally feel comfortable around you
• Multitasking — you can keep track of several guests and tasks at once

Gaming knowledge is definitely an advantage, but hospitality experience and customer service come first.

You do not need to be an esports expert. However, understanding gaming culture, playing games yourself, or being part of a gaming community is a strong plus.

Additionally:

• Dutch fluency is required
• English is required
• Basic understanding of PCs and gaming hardware is helpful
• Deep knowledge of a specific competitive game or community is a plus

WORKLOAD & COMPENSATION

Starting hourly pay depends on age:

• 18 years: from €7.50 gross/hour
• 19 years: from €9 gross/hour
• 20 years: from €12 gross/hour
• 21+ years: from €15 gross/hour

These are starting rates. Depending on experience, responsibilities and interview performance, exceptional candidates may be considered for a higher rate.
