About the role

Operate gantry cranes to lift and move heavy materials safely in various environments including construction sites and ports.

Key responsibilities

• Operate gantry cranes to lift and move heavy materials safely
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and safety checks
• Interpret load charts and calculate load weights accurately
• Coordinate with riggers and signalers during lifting operations
• Maintain detailed logs of crane activities and incidents
• Report mechanical issues and assist with routine maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
• Assist in planning complex lifts and rigging setups

About you

• Proven work experience as a Gantry Crane Operator
• Valid NCII to operate GANTRY CRANE
• Proficiency with hydraulic cranes
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Physical strength and stamina to withstand long hours of work in various weather conditions
• High school diploma or equivalent
