Amesbury Prep School is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Gap Student to join our thriving school community from 4 January 2027 to 9 July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a post-A Level student looking to gain valuable experience before university or considering a future career in education, childcare, sport or a related profession.

Working closely with teaching and support staff, you will play a key role in school life, supporting pupils in the classroom, assisting with sports, supervision, school trips, clubs and extracurricular activities.

Contract Details

• Fixed-term contract: 4 January 2027 - 9 July 2027
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Salary: £10,603 for the duration of the contract
• Location: Hindhead, Surrey

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Is enthusiastic, reliable and professional
• Enjoys working with children and young people
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
• Can work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience working with children
• A full UK driving licence
• An interest in sport, music, drama or outdoor education
• An aspiration to pursue a career in teaching or another child-centred profession
