Garage Door Technician

Tako Garage Door Inc. is looking for a Garage Door Technician with strong sales and communication skills to join our growing team.

This is not a basic technician role.

We are looking for someone who is confident working inside customers’ homes, knows how to communicate clearly, present solutions, and close jobs, not just perform repairs.

The ideal candidate is professional, presentable, and comfortable explaining problems, offering options, and collecting payment on-site. You should be able to work independently, manage your time efficiently, and represent the company at a high level.

If you are a quiet technician who avoids customer interaction — this role is not for you.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential garage doors, openers, springs, and related hardware
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about issues, solutions, and pricing
• Present repair and upgrade options confidently and professionally
• Upsell services when appropriate (openers, springs, hardware, upgrades)
• Close jobs and collect payment on-site
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and work area
• Deliver high-quality customer service and represent the company brand
• Work independently in the field and manage daily job flow

What We’re Looking For

• Strong customer-facing and verbal communication skills
• Experience working inside customers’ homes
• Sales mindset — comfortable discussing pricing and closing deals
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Garage door repair and opener installation experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Professional attitude, confidence, and reliability

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
