Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically knowledgeable Garage Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, servicing, inspection, and repair of our fleet of trucks, cars, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to supervise garage technicians and ensure that all vehicles and equipment remain in safe, reliable, and operational condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily garage operations, vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of trucks, cars, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults and coordinate appropriate repairs.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, periodic inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor vehicle and equipment performance and minimize breakdowns and operational downtime.
• Supervise mechanics, technicians, and other garage personnel to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repair history, spare parts, equipment inspections, and service costs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for the timely availability of required materials.
• Ensure proper maintenance procedures and workshop safety standards are followed.
• Coordinate with transport, operations, and equipment departments to prioritize maintenance requirements.
• Control maintenance costs while maintaining high standards of workmanship and equipment reliability.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in garage supervision, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of trucks, cars, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy vehicles and machinery.
• Good understanding of diesel engines, petrol engines, automotive systems, hydraulics, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults, identify maintenance requirements, and supervise repair work.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning, breakdown management, and spare parts control.
• Good leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple maintenance requirements efficiently.
• Valid Bahrain driving licence and relevant heavy vehicle or equipment experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, mobile cranes, forklifts, and construction equipment will be given priority.
