Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organized Garage Workshop Manager to oversee our workshop operations from an office-based role. This position involves coordinating daily workshop activities, managing team workflows, and ensuring the smooth running of repair and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have solid mechanical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule workshop jobs to optimize workflow and meet customer deadlines
• Oversee the allocation of tasks to technicians and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service histories using workshop management software
• Communicate with customers regarding job progress, estimates, and completion times
• Manage inventory levels of parts and tools, ensuring availability for upcoming jobs
• Supervise health and safety compliance within the workshop environment
• Support technicians with technical guidance on complex repairs when necessary

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to understand repair processes and technical requirements
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in automotive repair and maintenance
