Garden Maintenance Team Member

About the Role

We’re looking for team members to support our horticulture operations at Mount Penang Gardens. The work is on Saturdays and Sunday mornings so would be ideal for an experienced gardener looking for additional hours close to home or a someone with other commitments wanting to keep their hand in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Use of a variety of equipment such as push mower, whipper snipper, hedger, pole pruner, small plant machinery and basic hand tools
• Planting, weeding, pruning, and watering
• Mowing and whipper snipping lawns, trimming edges, and caring for turf areas
• Preparing soil, mulching and planting beds
• Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
• Adhering to safety protocols for a safe work environment

About You

You have proven yourself to have a great work ethic and commitment to completing tasks to the highest standards.

• Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens will be highly regarded, but is not essential
• Hands-on experience in the industry
• An eye for detail and a passion for delivering high quality work and exceeding client expectations
• A team player who values the experiences, knowledge and input of your colleagues
• Physically fit and able safely lift heavy objects when required and stand/kneel/squat/bend for extended periods
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to provide input and impart your knowledge to others
• Willingness to have a Police Check and WWCC
