Gardener

We are looking for two Gardeners with a minimum of two years horticultural and machinery experience to work at a large country house.

We are recruiting for:

● 1 × Full-Time Permanent Gardener, employed

● 1 × Full-Time Gardener – 12–15 Month Maternity Cover, self employed

These are hands-on roles for people who genuinely enjoy gardening, take pride in their work and want to be part of a team that strives to do things properly.

● The ability to work independently and use your initiative

● A willingness to learn, develop and take responsibility

● Good practical gardening skills, or the aptitude and determination to develop them

● The ability to think beyond the immediate task and understand the bigger picture

● Flexibility and adaptability when plans inevitably change

● The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

● The resilience to cope with everything from sunshine to horizontal rain — sometimes in the same week

● A good sense of humour and the ability to enjoy working as part of a team

The candidate must be willing to work in a very physical environment, in all weather conditions and be deadline focused.

RHS 2, PA1 and PA6 are an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £10.85-£14.28 per hour
