About the role

Polystar Manpower Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team on a full-time basis in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This role is essential to maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscaped areas. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care, maintenance, and cultivation of gardens, plants, and outdoor spaces. This position plays a vital role in creating and sustaining beautiful, well-maintained environments that contribute to the overall quality of our properties and client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Planting, watering, and nurturing a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Pruning and trimming vegetation to maintain shape, health, and aesthetic appearance
• Weeding garden beds and removing unwanted vegetation
• Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments as required to promote plant health
• Maintaining garden tools and equipment in good working order
• Raking, edging, and preparing soil for planting
• Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Removing fallen leaves, debris, and other waste from garden areas
• Monitoring plants for signs of disease, pests, or nutritional deficiencies
• Following health and safety regulations and best practices in all gardening activities
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Gardener or in a similar landscaping role
• Strong knowledge of various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees suitable for tropical climates
• Practical experience with gardening tools and landscaping equipment
• Understanding of soil preparation, composting, and plant nutrition
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in outdoor conditions
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour for extended periods
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Preferably, certification or training in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields
