Gardener

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our gardens and landscapes are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves working outdoors, tending to various plants, and performing essential groundskeeping tasks to create and sustain beautiful green spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and cultivate gardens, including planting, pruning and weeding.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
• Irrigate plants and manage watering schedules to ensure optimal growth conditions.
• Conduct regular landscape maintenance, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and clearing debris.
• Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases, taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new garden layouts.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shears.
• Experience with power tools like lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of plant care techniques including growing conditions, irrigation methods, and pest management is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A good understanding of landscape maintenance practices to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
