Gardener

We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Gardener to maintain the landscaping and greenery at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) and Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal (PPFT). The role covers routine gardening and landscape maintenance across both terminals, ensuring plants and outdoor areas are well maintained, safe, and presentable. This position is suited for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, has practical gardening knowledge, and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Landscape & Garden Maintenance

• Maintain landscaped areas, plants, shrubs, trees, and other greenery across the premises.
• Carry out routine gardening activities including watering, pruning, trimming, weeding, grass cutting, and removal of dried leaves and branches.
• Plant, transplant, and replace flowers, shrubs, and other plants when required.
• Apply fertilisers and other plant treatments appropriately to maintain healthy plant growth.
• Monitor plants for signs of pests, diseases, or poor growth and take appropriate action or report issues when necessary.
• Ensure landscaped areas are kept neat, clean, and presentable at all times.

Grounds & General Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of landscape areas and remove gardening waste after maintenance works.
• Inspect landscaped areas regularly and report damaged plants, irrigation issues, safety hazards, or other maintenance concerns.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and ensure they are kept in good working condition.
• Monitor and support the proper functioning of irrigation and watering systems.
• Assist with landscaping improvements, seasonal planting, and other gardening projects as required.
• Support the preparation and upkeep of outdoor areas for company activities or events when required.
• Provide administrative support to the Operations team, including handling documentation and updating data records.
• Ensure all gardening and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plant care, pruning, fertilising, watering, and general landscape maintenance.

• Able to operate common gardening tools and equipment safely.

• Physically fit and comfortable performing outdoor work in different weather conditions.

• Willing and able to work at both TMFT and PPFT and travel between the two terminals as required..

• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Relevant certification or training in horticulture, landscaping, or related areas would be an advantage
