Gardener

About the role

This role involves performing daily gardening, landscaping and grass-cutting activities, maintaining lawns, trees, plants, shrubs and flower beds, and keeping surrounding areas clean, tidy and free from weeds, dry leaves and rubbish.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily gardening, landscaping and grass-cutting activities
• Maintain lawns, trees, plants, shrubs and flower beds
• Water plants, apply fertilizer and carry out basic plant care
• Trim trees, hedges and bushes as required
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely
• Keep the surrounding areas clean, tidy and free from weeds, dry leaves and rubbish
• Assist with basic landscaping and outdoor maintenance work
• Report any damaged equipment, unsafe conditions or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Follow company instructions and workplace safety procedures

About you

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to perform outdoor work
• Able to use basic gardening tools and equipment
• Hardworking, responsible, punctual and able to work independently
• Willing to follow instructions and work as part of a team
