What they need

What your day could look like

As a Gardener, you'll help shape the outdoor spaces people experience every day. Your work will contribute to a welcoming environment where residents can relax, connect with others and enjoy the benefits of well-maintained gardens. You'll be part of a supportive team while enjoying the lifestyle, community spirit and opportunities that come with regional Queensland.

Every day, you'll contribute by:
Creating attractive, safe and inviting gardens that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.

Using your horticultural expertise to maintain healthy landscapes and thriving outdoor spaces.

Identifying opportunities to improve and refresh garden areas for long-term sustainability and enjoyment.

Working alongside colleagues to deliver a positive environment that reflects pride, care and respect.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who notices the small details that make a big difference. You take pride in transforming outdoor spaces and enjoy seeing the impact your work has on others. Whether you're maintaining established gardens or helping bring new ideas to life, you're motivated by creating places where people feel welcome, comfortable and connected. You value teamwork, take ownership of your work and genuinely care about contributing to something bigger than yourself.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent practical experience.

Experience maintaining gardens, grounds or landscaped environments.

Confidence using horticultural equipment and following safe work practices.

A collaborative, dependable approach and commitment to high-quality outcomes.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare, aged care or large community environments and/or skills in landscaping, plant propagation or irrigation systems.

Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, along with a passion for creating outdoor spaces that enrich people's daily lives.

Your work will help create environments where people feel cared for, connected and proud to belong.
