Gardener / Tree Surgeon

Job Summary

Garden Care Group LTD are a local firm offering Garden Maintenance, Landscaping and Tree Surgery in and around South West London and Surrey. We are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Gardener who has experience with chainsaws and tree surgery, with a full driving license to join our team, to start as soon as possible.

Duties will include, tree pruning and maintenance, planting, hedge cutting, lawn care, planting schemes, bed preparation and general garden upkeep. You should be practical, hardworking and take pride in delivering a high standard of work.

Some days you may be working with our garden maintenance department, and some days you may be working with our tree surgeons.

The company will supply uniform and relevant PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and trimmers safely and efficiently
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, mulching, and fertilizing
• Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, and take appropriate action on a job by job basis.

Requirements

• Hold a full clean drivers licence
• Hold PA1/ PA6
• CS38 (Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue) (desirably but not essential)
• CS30/31 (Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting) (desirably but not essential)
• Confident with basic tree climbing and pruning (desirably but not essential)
• Qualified to NVQ2 or higher (desirably but not essential)
• Excellent plant knowledge
• Be a good communicator as you will be dealing with the public.

Please note; you will be working in high end gardens with clients that know every plant in their garden. We are looking for someone with at least 3+ years of experience backed with references.

Pay: £25,099.00-£35,100.00 per year
