Gardening Operations Manager

Garden Delights Limited is looking for an experienced Gardening Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day garden maintenance work across Auckland. You will coordinate jobs and staff, maintain strong client relationships, and make sure our team delivers safe, reliable, high-quality service.

This is a practical role. You will visit sites regularly and work alongside the team when needed.

What you’ll do

• Plan and schedule gardening and lawn maintenance jobs.
• Allocate work to staff and provide day-to-day guidance and support.
• Visit sites to check progress, quality, and client requirements.
• Communicate with clients, respond to concerns, and arrange follow-up work.
• Help prepare job estimates and identify equipment and material needs.
• Make sure vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and used safely.
• Keep job records up to date and support health and safety practices.
• Carry out gardening work when needed to help the team meet its schedule.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating multiple jobs.
• Good knowledge of mowing, pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, and general garden care.
• Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A full New Zealand driver licence.
• Confidence using a phone or computer to manage schedules and job records.
