Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Fireplace Technician to join our field operations team. In this role, you will perform technical in-home cleaning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for residential and commercial fireplaces, fire pits, gas lines, venting, electrical systems, and controls.

You will act as the face of our company in the field—ensuring high standards of safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer communication. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, possesses strong problem-solving skills, thrives working independently, and takes pride in delivering high-integrity work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Field Service & Technical Execution: Perform cleaning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and commercial gas/wood fireplaces and fire pits, as well as gas lines, venting, electrical systems, and controls.
• Customer Service & Communication: Provide an exceptional, positive experience inside customers' homes, advising them on the safe and correct use of their hearth equipment.
• On-Site Professionalism: Arrive on time in company-provided uniform and operate company vehicles in a safe, courteous manner at all times.
• Electronic File & Documentation Maintenance: Complete all job-related procedures, job board/calendar updates, and reporting accurately using mobile applications (tablets, phones, or laptops) or physical paperwork.
• Site Preparation & Safety: Maintain clean and organized work areas—including job sites and company vehicles—working safely at all times and reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support: Work alongside Admin, Service, Sales, and Warehouse teams as needed (including receiving deliveries or picking up parts) to ensure company processes run efficiently.

Mandatory Experience & Clearances:

• Technical Repair Experience (REQUIRED): At least 1 year of experience in hands-on trade work or technical in-home repairs (fireplace, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing).
• Driving & Clearances (REQUIRED):
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be insurable under company motor vehicle policies.
• Must successfully pass a clean background check.

Technical & Operational Skills:

• Tech-Savvy: Able to comfortably use and navigate applications and software on a tablet, phone, or laptop for daily job processing and reporting.
• Problem-Solving & Detail Orientation: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with sharp attention to detail when addressing complex technical challenges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Application Question(s):

• Our Install Team is booked and busy during the colder months, increasing the chances of working on Saturdays or putting in overtime. Are you available to work Monday–Saturday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, or work past 5:00 PM when necessary to ensure the job is fully completed and the customer is exceptionally well taken care of?
• Much of our work takes place inside residential homes, which requires strong professionalism and clear communication. Do you have experience working inside customers' homes, and are you comfortable interacting directly with homeowners while completing technical repairs?
