Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns
• Upsell convenience items, snacks, beverages, and other products to enhance customer experience and sales
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed
• Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items
• Handle cash handling procedures with precision and ensure proper cash register balancing at shift end
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low inventory items

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous
• Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills and a positive approach to teamwork

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
