The City of Lexington is seeking a Gas Technician Apprentice to join our team of utility professionals. This crew member performs responsible semi-skilled and skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s Natural Gas facilities.

We will train entry level candidates, however experience in the natural gas industry is a definite plus.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED
• Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:00AM - 5:30 PM OR Tuesday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:30 PM. Paid bi-weekly.

Outside work in all weather conditions. On call rotation.
