We are looking for a motivated Gas & Plumbing Apprentice to join the Heat Excel team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a basic knowledge and understanding of plumbing and gas and wants to build a long-term career within the industry.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of plumbing, heating and gas work.

Ideally, We're Looking For

We would ideally like someone who has:

• Level 2 Plumbing qualification
• Basic plumbing knowledge and practical ability
• A basic understanding of gas and heating systems
• A genuine interest in becoming a qualified Gas Engineer/Plumber
• Good practical and problem-solving skills
• A willingness to learn and take instruction
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• A professional attitude when working in customers' homes

Level 2 Plumbing is preferred but not essential. We are prepared to consider someone with less experience or lower qualifications if they are the right person with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

What You'll Learn

Working alongside our engineers, you'll gain practical experience with:

• Boiler servicing and maintenance
• Boiler installations
• Heating systems
• Radiators
• General plumbing
• Bathrooms
• Pipework
• Fault finding
• Gas cookers and fires
• Customer service
• Working safely and professionally in customers' homes

You will initially work under the appropriate supervision and will only undertake gas work that you are trained, competent and legally permitted to carry out.
