`Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Gastroenterologist to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the digestive system, including the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.

The candidate must possess strong clinical expertise, excellent patient management skills, and experience in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders, including GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcers, IBS, IBD, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Evaluate and treat liver diseases, including hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and biopsies, subject to approved clinical privileges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic investigations.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging results, and endoscopic findings.
• Provide preventive care, gastrointestinal cancer screening, and patient education.
• Collaborate with internal medicine specialists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records in accordance with DOH regulations.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and healthcare quality requirements.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate specialization in Gastroenterology.
• Valid DOH Specialist Gastroenterologist License or DOH Eligibility.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience preferred, subject to DOH licensing requirements.
• Proven experience in gastrointestinal diagnosis, treatment, and endoscopic procedures.
• Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and clinical standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous UAE healthcare experience preferred.
• Candidates available for immediate joining or with a short notice period will be given preference.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong clinical and procedural expertise in gastroenterology.
• Patient-focused approach with excellent diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary medical team.
• Experience in outpatient consultation and endoscopy services.
• Established patient base in Abu Dhabi would be an added advantage.

Pay: AED45,000.00 - AED55,000.00 per month
