Job Title: Gate Attendant

Job Purpose
To minimize product shrinkage due to theft, inaccurate loading, or damage, while maintaining a secure and hazard-free property for customers and yard personnel. Assist customers and employees in various location-based situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Gate Audits & Invoice Verification: Monitor all vehicle traffic leaving the yard. Physically verify customer invoices and load tickets against actual materials, lumber types, and quantities loaded onto trucks before allowing exit.
• Maintenance of Gate and Deck Areas: Maintain the gate area and associated product displays, including stocking, cleaning, facing, and product assembly.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge: Familiarity with the building industry, lumber sizing, and general construction materials is highly preferred to ensure accurate load checks.
• Interpersonal Skills: Clear communication with the public and team members. Strong, non-confrontational communication skills to effectively handle dispute resolutions with customers.
• Screening: Must be at least 18 years old and capable of passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Pay: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
