Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct thorough background checks on visitors or personnel as required to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Perform regular patrols of the perimeter and interior areas to identify potential security risks or breaches.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the premises, promptly reporting suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety protocols.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other significant events for record-keeping and follow-up actions.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques calmly and effectively when addressing disputes or disruptive behavior.
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents involving security violations or criminal activity.
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles and personnel entering or leaving the premises, including heavy lifting when necessary for safety checks.
• Maintain compliance with all security regulations and company policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors alike.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and monitoring multiple feeds simultaneously.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, incident report writing, and background check processes.
• Proficiency in using access control systems and familiarity with physical security measures such as Taser handling, firearm handling (where permitted), and conflict management techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while conducting patrols or managing equipment.
• Experience in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols that involve walking long distances, heavy lifting when required, and quick response times in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and CCTV monitoring for theft deterrence.
• Commitment to compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards related to physical security operations.

Pay: $23.23 - $27.98 per hour
