Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gate Clerk to manage access control and streamline logistics operations at our distribution facility. In this vital role, you will oversee the entry and exit of employees, vendors, carriers, and visitors, ensuring smooth and secure operations. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments, managing documentation, and supporting warehouse activities to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. This position offers an engaging environment where your organizational skills and customer service abilities will contribute directly to our operational success.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers using warehouse management systems and RFID scanners.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments accurately, ensuring proper documentation for shipping & receiving activities.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counting, data entry into inventory management software, and updating records in ERP systems like AS400 or MRP.
• Support warehouse operations including order picking & packing, loading & unloading trucks with equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Maintain accurate logs of all gate activities, shipment details, and visitor records while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries from drivers, vendors, or internal teams promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff on logistics coordination to optimize shipping logistics and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Skills

• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing processes, and warehouse distribution practices.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory, verifying shipment quantities, and processing documentation accurately.
• Excellent data entry skills coupled with attention to detail for maintaining precise records.
• Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, vendors, and team members.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards relevant to logistics operations.

Pay: $22.70 - $27.34 per hour
