Gate Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gate Clerk to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing access points, verifying shipments, and ensuring smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility. Your energetic approach will help maintain security, support inventory accuracy, and facilitate efficient shipping and receiving processes. Duties

• Control access to the warehouse or distribution center by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments accurately using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software such as AS400 or similar platforms.
• Conduct visual inspections of shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and shipping logistics standards.
• Utilize RF scanners, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other equipment to load, unload, stock, and organize inventory efficiently.
• Maintain detailed logs of all transactions including shipping & receiving records, incident reports, and inbound/outbound documentation.
• Support order fulfillment activities by assisting with picking & packing orders using inventory management software and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to shipment status or inventory issues while maintaining a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
• Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and trade compliance regulations.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), pallet jacks, RF scanners, and load/unload machinery safely.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and external partners.
• Prior experience with ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent is highly desirable.

Pay: $23.39 - $28.17 per hour
