Role: QA Engineer / QA Analyst – GCP Data Ingestion Framework

Experience: 5 Years

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineer or QA Analyst to validate an enterprise data ingestion framework built using Java, microservices, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes.

The candidate will define and execute a comprehensive quality strategy covering data ingestion, processing, data accuracy, framework reliability, error handling, monitoring, and operational readiness.

The role includes validating full loads, incremental loads, and partition-overwrite loads, with testing and release validation across SIT, PRE-PROD, and PROD environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Test Strategy and Requirements Traceability

• Review functional, non-functional, interface, data-quality, security, and operational requirements.

• Create risk-based test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and traceability matrices.

• Define test data requirements, environment dependencies, entry/exit criteria, and signoff evidence.

• Maintain traceability across requirements, test cases, defects, retesting, and release approvals.

2. Functional and Data Validation

• Validate full-load, incremental-load, and partition-overwrite processing.

• Test watermarking, changed-data detection, restartability, idempotency, and duplicate prevention.

• Perform source-to-target reconciliation, record-count validation, control-total checks, schema validation, and data-type verification.

• Validate file, API, database, messaging, and cloud-storage ingestion scenarios.

• Test schema evolution, malformed records, null values, duplicate records, empty inputs, large files, and boundary conditions.

3. Test Automation and Tooling

• Develop and maintain automated API, integration, data-validation, regression, and smoke tests.

• Use Java-based testing frameworks and suitable tools for REST services, databases, files.

Pay: Up to ₹1,500,000.00 per year
