Responsibilities

• Deliver customised GCSE Maths lessons to students of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.
• Assess students’ current understanding and develop lesson plans that address their specific learning objectives.
• Use effective teaching methods and resources to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Support students in developing exam techniques and confidence in their mathematical abilities.
• Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes active participation and motivation.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
• Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently.
• Organised with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Passionate about education and committed to supporting student success.
• Relevant qualifications in Maths or Education are preferred but not essential for enthusiastic applicants with relevant experience.
