Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Tutor to support students preparing for 11+ exams, KS3, and especially GCSE exams. In this role, you will deliver engaging and tailored lessons that boost students’ confidence and mastery of Science. Responsibilities

• Design and deliver dynamic tutoring sessions focused on 11+ exam preparation, KS3, and GCSE Science curriculum standards.
• Assess individual student needs and develop personalized learning plans to address areas for improvement.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, practice exercises, and mock exams to enhance understanding.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and suggest strategies for continued improvement.
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and attendance to monitor development over time.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student achievements and areas needing attention.
• Create a motivating and supportive environment that encourages active participation and confidence-building.

Experience

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Science at the 11+, KS3, or GCSE level.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and young learners of diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) strategies is highly desirable to support all learners inclusively.
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students.
• Experience in developing tailored lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles.
