Summary The Gear Specialist serves as an essential resource for our customers. The position is responsible for providing estimates and blueprint takeoffs utilizing our internal quotation software for bid jobs. The successful candidate will be technically minded with the willingness to learn and expand their knowledge of Gear and Power Distribution.

Essential Job Functions

• Acting as the Subject Matter Expert with an emphasis on Switchgear and Power Distribution.
• Analyze customer one-line diagrams and schematics and research type of switchgear needed.
• Prepare cost estimates of material.
• Qualify BoM Requests and Take offs.
• Read and interpret electrical specifications, electrical drawings, equipment drawings and other pertinent project documentation.
• Collaborate with branches and customer service representatives.
• Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Reviews, identifies and follows up on all aspects of the Switchgear projects.
• Works cross functionally within the CES Online division.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
• Partner with the community.
