Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gelato flavors and toppings to enhance their experience
• Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve gelato, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Manage customer orders with quick service techniques, upselling additional treats or beverages to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks while adhering to sanitation protocols
• Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining accountability for cash handling procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register operations
• Prior experience in café, grocery store, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not required

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
