Gem Show Helper

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gem Show Helper to assist with various tasks during our gemstone exhibitions. The show dates are from Jan 28th to Feb 14th, 2027. The show hours are 10am - 6pm daily. This role involves supporting sales activities, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth operations at the show. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about gemstones, jewelry and retail environments, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Duties

• Processing cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
• Handling retail sales and assisting customers with their purchases
• Supporting inventory control by organizing, counting, and maintaining merchandise displays and stock
• Assisting with setup and teardown of the show booth or display area
• Providing friendly assistance to visitors and answering general questions about products
• Ensuring the safety and security of merchandise throughout the event

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for inventory management
• Excellent communication skills, will be a bonus if you speak Spanish as well
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Availability to work during show hours, including setup and teardown times

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
