Job Summary:

The Analyst will be responsible for conducting operating gemological instruments, data interpretation, and maintenance instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and retrieve data from various gem instruments (Balance, SG, RI, Polariscope, UV lamp, microscope, etc.).
• Use advanced instruments like UV-Vis, FTIR, EDXRF, Raman for gemstone analysis.
• Determine gemstone origin, natural vs. synthetic, treatments, and quality.
• Perform gemstone grading, including color and clarity.
• Ensure accurate data entry and QC for gemstone reports.
• Support Senior Gemologist in delivering accurate reports.
• Participate in industry events and maintain industry knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Geology, Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry or related fields. Certified Gemologist (e.g., GIA, FGA) is advantage.

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in gemology.

• Able to operating advanced instruments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.

• Detail-oriented with strong concentration skills and accuracy.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

• Ability to work well with diverse individuals.

• Ability to handle pressure while maintaining professionalism.
