We move fast, think big, and are looking for an experienced Gen-Alpha YouTube Scriptwriter

to help develop ambitious YouTube concepts and turn them into high-retention stories.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and highly collaborative YouTube Scriptwriter

who understands how to write entertaining, fast-paced content for Gen Alpha audiences (ages 5–15).

From challenges and viral pranks to story-driven skits and recurring characters, you’ll help develop concepts and scripts designed to hook viewers immediately and keep them watching until the end.

We are specifically looking for candidates with professional YouTube writing experience

, ideally working with major creators or high-performing digital entertainment channels. Deep familiarity with leading Gen Alpha and family entertainment creators such as MrBeast, Stokes Twins, Ben Azelart, Topper Guild, Brent Rivera, Rebecca Zamolo, and The Royalty Family

is a strong plus.

The ideal candidate understands YouTube storytelling, comedic timing, audience retention, and internet culture - and knows how to translate trends and big ideas into scripts that feel native to Zhong’s universe.

The Role

We’re expanding our creative team and adding an experienced YouTube Scriptwriter

to work alongside our existing writers, producers, directors, and talent.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, fast, funny, and deeply plugged into Gen Alpha culture - someone who understands what hooks viewers in the first few seconds and keeps them watching until the end.

You’ll develop original concepts, punchy dialogue, characters, storylines, and high-retention scripts while helping us identify what’s next in Gen Alpha entertainment.

What You’ll Do

• Write scripts for challenges, pranks, reaction-style content, comedy, and character-driven stories
• Work alongside our existing writing team to develop, pitch, and strengthen concepts
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and talent from ideation through production
• Write for Zhong’s voice: upbeat, chaotic, funny, and family-friendly
• Structure scripts around strong hooks, escalating stakes, comedic beats, payoffs, and viewer retention
• Develop dialogue, characters, storylines, and recurring narrative elements within Zhong’s universe
• Brainstorm new formats, characters, trends, and storylines that can become repeatable franchises
• Stay ahead of Gen Alpha culture and identify emerging trends before they become oversaturated
• Rewrite quickly based on creative feedback, production needs, and performance insights
• Join us on-site at our production house as needed to understand our workflow, sets, talent, and production dynamics

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience writing for YouTube

  , especially challenge, story-driven, prank, comedy, or entertainment content

• A portfolio or writing samples demonstrating experience creating engaging digital video content

• Strong understanding of Gen Alpha audiences, internet culture, viral trends, and YouTube storytelling

• Excellent sense of pacing, comedic timing, storytelling, hooks, and audience retention

• Ability to write natural, funny dialogue for creators and recurring characters

• Someone who actively follows internet culture and can recognize emerging formats and trends before they become oversaturated

• Understanding of YouTube analytics, audience retention, and viewer behavior

• Comfortable receiving feedback, rewriting quickly, and collaborating with other writers

• Fast, clear communicator who thrives in a high-output production environment

• Based in Los Angeles with the ability to work in or commute to West Hollywood



Compensation

Full-Time Salary: $100,000 - 120,000/year + performance-based bonus

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates moving to Los Angeles. Final compensation will be based on experience.

This position will begin with a paid trial period

, with the goal of transitioning the right candidate into a full-time role.
