Accountant

• Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
• Preparation of Financial Statements:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
• Reconciliations:
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Supporting Audits:
• Prepare financial documentation for audits
• Assist in the coordination of external audits
• Budget Monitoring:
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures
• Provide variance reports to management
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies
• Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and best practices
• Accounting Software:
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for transactions and reporting
• Assist in implementing new financial software solutions
• Internal Controls:
• Assist in maintaining and enforcing internal controls
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
• Support the finance team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks

Requirements Educational Background

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional Experience

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis functions

Certifications

• ZAT or IFRS other relevant certification is a plus but not required
