General Accountant

The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for CTC, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial record keeping. This role supports financial reporting, internal controls, and provides vital data to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile, and maintain general ledger entries for all companies transactions (accruals, prepayments, amortizations, etc.).
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable: invoice generation, vendor invoices, collections, payments.
• Bank reconciliations and cash postings; monitor cash balances.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; prepare adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports.
• VAT, tax and statutory compliance: ensure accurate VAT returns, withholding tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis under guidance.
• Maintain fixed assets register: depreciation, additions/disposals.
• Support internal and external audits: preparation of schedules, responses, and documentation.
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed; suggest improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience (industry experience desirable).
• Solid understanding of Egyptian Accounting Standards / IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software / ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful reports.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical skills.
• Good organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills, able to liaise with other departments.
