GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant with a preference for candidates familiar with the construction and facade industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and a proven ability to navigate the financial intricacies of the construction and facade sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization and record daily financial transactions
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Generate regular financial reports for management review
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor budgetary performance
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
• Track project costs and expenses, particularly in the construction and facade sectors, and conduct cost analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies
• Assist in payroll processing, including the calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions
• Utilize accounting software for efficient financial management and stay updated on industry-specific accounting tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as a General Accountant, preferably in the construction or facade industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
