THE TEAM

As part of the Finance team, you will work alongside dedicated professionals who play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and success of the hotel. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across all departments to support sound financial management, maintain strong internal controls, and contribute to informed business decision-making. The team is committed to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence while supporting Rosewood’s vision, values, and service standards.

YOUR ROLE

As an Accountant, you will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the hotel’s financial records and reporting. You will maintain the general ledger, support monthly financial reporting, and assist in the preparation of budgets, reconciliations, and statutory filings. Through close collaboration with operational departments and the Finance team, you will contribute to effective financial controls, provide valuable financial insight, and support the hotel’s overall business performance and long-term success.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports in accordance with corporate reporting standards and accepted accounting principles.
• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger by preparing and posting journal vouchers to the accounting system.
• Prepare accrual, prepaid expense, depreciation, and amortization schedules, including recurring journal entries.
• Ensure all taxes and related statutory filings are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Analyze budget variances and provide reporting support to the Finance leadership team.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• You hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with additional professional development in finance considered an advantage.
• You have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial reporting practices.
• You are highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical reporting deadlines.
• You build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
• You demonstrate a high level of professional integrity, accountability, and commitment to compliance.
• You are confident working independently, solving problems proactively, and contributing to continuous improvement within the finance function.
