General Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial records. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting experience and be comfortable handling multiple accounting functions.

Construction industry experience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare and record journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
• Prepare monthly financial reports and accounting schedules
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Monitor invoices, collections, payments, and expenses
• Ensure proper recording and documentation of company transactions
• Prepare and monitor BIR-related reports and tax compliance requirements
• Assist with payroll and other accounting-related administrative tasks
• Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documents
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, clients, and external accountants/auditors when necessary
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Perform other accounting duties that may be assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in general accounting and financial reporting
• Knowledge of BIR tax compliance and Philippine accounting practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Experience in the construction industry is an advantage
• CPA is an advantage but not required
