General Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant with strong experience in QuickBooks Online to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the company’s financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online.
• Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices and payments.
• Perform daily/monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the General Ledger.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain petty cash and expense records.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documents for all accounting transactions.
• Assist with UAE VAT calculations, filing, and record keeping.
• Support external auditors and provide required financial documents.
• Monitor company expenses, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly organized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a General Accountant or similar position.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
