General Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, handle accounts payable and receivable, and support financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Prepare and issue invoices, LPO’s, receipts, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Prepare and reconcile bank, supplier, and customer statements.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and manage collections.
• Verify supplier invoices, LPOs, delivery notes, and supporting documents.
• Prepare payment vouchers and coordinate cheque/payment processing.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
• Prepare VAT-related records and assist with UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required accounting documents.
• Monitor petty cash and employee expense claims and well knowledge in WPS systems.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally or ERP systems
• 2 years of accounting experience in UAE
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• UAE experience in contracting, fit-out, construction, or trading would be an advantage.

• Language: English, Hindi, Malayalam

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
