What You’ll Typically Do

Responsibilities vary by client, but most roles include:

• Processing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, supplier payments, and collections follow-up.
• Performing bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Preparing basic financial reports and management accounts.
• Assisting with payroll processing and tax compliance, such as GST/BAS, VAT, or sales tax, depending on the client’s country.
• Maintaining accurate records in cloud accounting software.
• Working with the client’s finance team, external accountants, and auditors.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on general accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with at least one cloud accounting platform, such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB, NetSuite, or Sage.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines on your own.

Nice to Have

• CPA license.
• Experience supporting Australian, US, UK, or New Zealand clients.
• Familiarity with international tax requirements, such as Australian BAS/GST, US sales tax, or UK VAT.
• Experience in an outsourcing, BPO, or offshore accounting setup.
• Experience with tools like Dext, Hubdoc, or ApprovalMax.

Work Setup

• Fully remote, work-from-home.
• Schedule depends on the client’s time zone. Day, mid, or night shift options may be available.
• You’ll need a reliable computer, a stable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended), a backup connection or power source, and a quiet workspace.
