General Accounting Associate

Under direct supervision, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the company’s bank account records by computing, classifying, recording and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records and ensures that bank balances are in reconciled with the records per book.

Duties and Responsibilities

A. Performs monthly bank reconciliation and ensures that cash amounts recorded are in agreement with bank account balances

1. Reconciles General Ledger accounts with various registers

2. Extracts General ledger information

3. Reconciles bank statements

4. Reconciles report discrepancies and problems

5. Codes data for input to the financial data processing according to company procedures

6. Reviews balances and interprets computer reports and make necessary adjustment if needed

7. Maintains/updates list of all company’s bank accounts

8. Keeps record of work completed

9. Prepares complete journal/adjusting entries

10. Ensures that bank statements are secured on a timely basis

11. Reconciles Bank Branches daily transaction

B. Provides administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations

1. Maintains inventory files

2. Maintains a filing system for all financial documents

3. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all financial files

C. Performs other functions as directed by the management from time to time
