General Accounting

About the role

This role involves recording journal entries, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate, timely posting. You will reconcile bank accounts and balance accounts payable/receivable, manage vendor invoices, customer billing, expense tracking, and payroll. You will ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and assist with audits and provide data for financial forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Recording journal entries, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate, timely posting
• Reconciling bank accounts and balancing accounts payable/receivable
• Managing vendor invoices, customer billing, expense tracking, and payroll
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Assisting with audits and providing data for financial forecasting

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Banking
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Excel proficiency including functions and formulas required
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and organizational abilities
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience is required; on-the-job training (OJT) may be considered
