General Accounting

About the role

Mountain Beach Resort & Convention Center Pattaya is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware General Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team. The General Accountant will be responsible for supporting the hotel's day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenue control, month-end closing, tax compliance, and internal controls. The successful candidate should have practical experience in hotel or hospitality accounting and understand the financial processes associated with Rooms, F&B, MICE, events, and other hotel revenue streams. The position is suited to an accountant who is looking to develop within a full-service resort environment and progress toward Senior Accountant, Chief Accountant, or Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Perform daily accounting transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Process and verify supplier invoices, payment requests, and supporting documentation
• Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved, and recorded
• Support daily reconciliation of hotel revenues from Rooms, F&B, MICE, Events, and other revenue outlets
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions
• Support accounting controls relating to F&B costs, inventory, purchasing, and stock movements
• Assist with preparation and documentation for VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable statutory requirements
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, hospitality, restaurant, or F&B environment
• Experience in a General Accountant, Accountant, Senior Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or similar role
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, revenue reconciliation, and month-end closing
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, PMS, POS, or ERP systems
• Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Good English communication skills; Thai language is required for local statutory and operational communication
