Job Summary

We are looking for a General Accounting Manager who will oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role will lead the accounting team and ensure accurate and timely financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient month-end and year-end closing.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and team management, preferably within the Food & Beverage or retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial statements
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting team
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other statutory and regulatory requirements
• Review and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee inventory and food cost accounting relevant to F&B operations
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Monitor accounting schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents
• Prepare financial analysis and reports for management
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
• Identify process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Preferably a CPA, but non-CPAs with strong relevant experience are welcome to apply
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in General Accounting, with managerial or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end closing, tax compliance, and internal controls
• Experience in the Food & Beverage, Restaurant, Retail, or multi-entity environment is an advantage
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet strict deadlines
• Willing to work on-site in Makati City
• Can start ASAP
